RETAIL/NATIONAL RESTAURANT CHAIN – Chick-Fil-A

Objectives:

As they were based first on the campus of NYU they wanted to come up with a clever way to get a brand out to a Northern consumer that did not know the brand.

Strategies:

We used the fact that their employee outfits and the cow are so visible that this needed to be a great part of the experience and then marrying it with social was the ultimate way to go.

Tactics:

With an aggressive Facebook and twitter campaign using the WHERE’s WALDO tactic it was where WHERE’s the COW and CHICK- FIL-A guy in the city. We had the guy give away Chicken sandwiches to local businesses to get the buzz going for where the new store was at. Then to get a free staff lunch people would have to follow the Twitter page and the first to spot the COW or employee of the day would get the next day’s free lunch.

Results:

Press and Consumers came and now there are 2 stores that have gone gang busters in the midtown area.
